Once upon a time, I believe it was a Tuesday when I caught your eye.

We caught on to something…

I borrowed home Fearless, by Taylor Swift, the other day. I previously hadn’t given her a chance because I thought that her songs were a bit too Disney for me but when I had the chance I thought: Eh, what the heck? Might as well give it a shot. And I must say, I found a couple of gems. Sure, some of them seemed a little too…sugary, but honestly, the lyrics hit me so hard that I was able to overlook that. My favourite song was Forever &  Always, but while listening to it, I couldn’t help but feel like it wasn’t reaching its full potential. So I thought I’d surf a bit on the Tube (good ol’ Tube, wink wink) and see if there were any interpretations that fitted me better, and surely, I found this:

Typically, I look down upon this type of American teen rock style (Come on, you know you do too!) but I’ve always had a soft spot for it at the same time. For instance, I’ve always loved the song Kelsey, by Metro Station (I know, Trace Cyrus, ugh) and now I’ve learned to accept it. I think a sign of the fact that I like it more than I think is that I always do that side-to-side move while listening to, or singing, a song like this. I’ve tried to stop sooo many times but it just comes naturally haha, but I’ve learned to embrace it. I do it to like every upbeat Paramore song for instance. Anyways, this song is seriously perfect like this,I love the style of the girl and the boy…totally contradicting, I know. But yeah, this is a really awesome song. And I’ve learned to not judge a genre, just go after that special gut-feeling. So I’ll just shut up and listen. Hah.

So you might as well check out their channel as well, since they’re wicked: lovecommarobot

Oh, and apparently they have a band called Love, Robot. So I’m gonna be cool and support them by pimping them out to my nonexistent readers, link to their myspace below
